Leicester Christian Fellowship is an outward-looking congregation using different ways to reach people for Christ.
The Alpha Course provides an opportunity for people to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed atmosphere. A meal is provided at the beginning of each session that gives everyone the opportunity to get to know each other around the meal table. The Alpha talk is shown on DVD and then the content of the talk is discussed in small groups. Guests are encouraged to ask questions. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or hostile. The Alpha Course runs at All Nations Centre whenever there is a need for the course to run. Please contact the office for more details.
The Marriage Course is above all a great investment. It is informal, unthreatening and very practical, giving married couples the tools with which they can build a healthy, strong and secure marriage that lasts a lifetime. On each of the seven evenings, the couple dine together over a romantic candlelit meal, watch a DVD presentation and have the opportunity to chat through important issues, which in the rush of daily life can often be brushed aside. The privacy of every couple is respected and there are no group discussions. It's just you and your partner building a stronger marriage. The Marriage Course runs at All Nations Centre whenever there is a need for the course to run. Please contact the office for more details.
Loving Our Kids on Purpose
Here is a fresh look at the age old role of parenting. Loving Our Kids On Purpose brings the principles of the Kingdom of God into our strategy as parents. Now more than ever, the need for understanding our role as parents must crystallize around how to establish the Kingdom of God in our homes. Teaching our kids to manage increasing levels of freedom is one of the greatest challenges. Learning to replace the tools of intimidation and control is a priority if we are to train our children in love. In this six session series, you will learn how to accomplish these priorities. With a blend of teaching, story telling and humour, Danny will let you see into his family as well as the numerous experiences he's had helping other families. He will lead you into an understanding of parenting principles and a practical application of skills and techniques.
This is a free course and is open to anyone, not just families. We run this course in six week blocks with light refreshments available. We have seen parents change their ideas and their focus into parenting has changed from a fear background to one of joy and love. We believe that everyone will gain from this course and would recommend it to all.

Healing On The Streets
This is where we lay out 6 chairs in the city centre, 2 large banners and simply ask those that need prayer to sit down and allow us to pray for them.
We meet beforehand to worship and seek God and then go into Leicester City Centre and put out 6 chairs. We have 2 large banners that just say HEALING. We then go onto our knees and pray to God, in the full view of all shoppers and passers-by; and commit the time to Him. We simply hand out info to those that are willing to stop and talk and we mingle in amongst the shoppers asking if they have a need and would they sit down and allow us to pray for them. We pray a simple prayer asking that God would take away any pain or illness and ask if they have felt anything different. We may pray again. Afterwards we give them an envelope with some church details and a letter explaining what we have done.
We have found that there are always those willing to sit and be prayed for and those that aren't. We have found some will stand and chat for ages and have great conservations about church and God. There is never a set routine but God always shows up.

Treasure Hunting
This is asking God to give us clues to treasure.
The clues may be colours, items of clothing, shops, streets or names. We write these down and discuss our clues in groups of 2 or 3. Then we ask God to show us where to go. It is just like treasure hunting as we seek to find the clues God has given us and look for the treasure, which are people.
We have found God to be fantastic as we look to him for our clues and rely on what he has shown us and therefore we don't go out witnessing in our own strength but his. Many people we have approached have actually found it exciting that they have been a clue in a treasure hunt and it's a great way of opening doors into people's lives.
God again has been amazing as we stretch ourselves, and rely on hearing him, and again he never fails to show up.

City Centre Worship
We regularly outreach in the city centre by means of worshipping on the streets of Leicester. We have experienced the presence of God drawing the shoppers to want to know more about who Jesus is.
BBQ Evangelism and Fun Days
Throughout the warmer months we hold free barbeques and fun days to bless local communities and to give them the good news about Jesus Christ. Recent fun days were held and thousands around the city and country really enjoyed the events. Please see Ian Jones if you would like to get involved in the up and coming outreaches.
